Planning ahead for 2027!
As the summer of 2026 comes to an end, we look ahead to what 2027 will look like with tentative dates below:
- Registration opens April 1st, 2027
- New Swimmer Evaluations Monday May 24th and Tuesday May 25th 5-6pm
- First year swimmers only should attend
- First afternoone practice Wednesday, May 26th between 430-7pm
- First morning practice Monday, June 7th between 830-1030am
- Meet Schedule, 6pm start, arrival time closer to 445pm:
- Week #1 Bell Creek @ TVWRA: Wednesday, June 2nd
- Week #2 TVWRA @ The Federal Club: Wednesday, June 9th
- Week #3 TVWRA @ Battlefield Green: Wednesday, June 16th
- Week #4 Hanover @ TVWRA: Wednesday, June 23rd
- Week #5 Wembly @ TVWRA: Wednesday, June 30th (Team Photo)
- Week #6 TVWRA @ Bell Creek: Tuesday, July 6th 6pm start
- Champs Meet @ SwimRVA:
- 10 & Under: Saturday, July 17th
- 11 & Older: Sunday, July 18th
We are so grateful for all of this years volunteers and will need many more certified positions for the 2027 season!
What does certified mean? Taking an online course & test (time commitment varies by job description 1-2hrs)
Online courses open in spring 2027, please let us know if you are interested in any of the following roles: (check the training site here before committing)
- Strokes & Turns
- Starter
- Clerk of Course
- Computer Rep
- Head Table Worker
- Referee

GRAL AGE GROUPS
The Greater Richmond Aquatic League defines the age groups for all meets (listed below). Your child will be placed in the correct group by age. Please refer to the practice schedule for practice times by age group.
- 6 & under
- 8 & under
- 9 & 10
- age 11 & 12 (Juniors)
- age 13 & 14 (Intermediates)
- age 15 – 18 (Seniors)
